At Dacorum Heritage, we care for a rich collection of objects, photographs, documents and stories connected to the history of the Borough of Dacorum. Our school loan boxes and workshops help pupils explore the past through enquiry, discussion and object handling, supporting memorable learning across the curriculum.

Object Loan Boxes
Our object loan boxes are designed to make history tangible. Each box includes a carefully selected mix of collection objects, replica artefacts, photographs and a resource pack with suggested classroom and group activities.

Loan boxes are available for a two-week loan for £35 per box. Longer loans may be possible by arrangement, with additional charges applying.

Workshops for Schools

Our outreach workshops encourage pupils to investigate evidence, ask questions and make connections between national history and the local stories of Dacorum.

Using objects and images from the collection, workshops can support topics such as:

• Science Behind Fireworks

Workshops last a full morning (9.30am until 11.45am) and take place in your school.

For schools within Dacorum Borough £90.00 per class (up to 30 pupils).

For schools outside of the Borough £150.00 per class (up to 30 pupils).
