The Museum Store holds a wealth of information on the history of Dacorum, which is made accessible through the enquiry and research service. As a registered charity, the support received through donations is essential to the continuation of this service. All our staff work part time. We aim to reply to email enquiries within 2 weeks. Research

First initial enquiry via email or telephone – free.
First supervised visit to the store – £10 per hour.

Should you wish to take photographs, you will require a permit – £5 per session

Identification Service

Maximum of 5 objects per visit – free.
Please note that valuations are not given.

Scanning

If you wish to have a copy of an item it is £3 per item.
Please note: that a permission form will need to be signed and returned to us before-hand and additional charges may occur depending on how the copy of the item will be used.

Reproductions

If you would like to reproduce an image we have copyright for the following applies (in addition to the £3 per item scan cost)

Non-commercial / non-profit making (including charities and schools)

One country, one language – £25 per item
World rights, including websites – £35 per item

Commercial / for profit

One country, one language – £50 per item
World rights, including websites – £70 per item
