Romans and Archaeology

Through a variety of original Roman artefacts such as coins, pieces of pottery and remnants of mosaic floors, this loan box will allow children to experience what life was like in the Roman Empire first-hand.

It also contains all of the apparatus required for children to stage their own archaeological dig! Using trowels and brushes the children can become mini archaeologists on the hunt for Roman treasures buried in the sand.

The box includes suggested ideas and resources for activities which range from jewellery and coin design to making a museum object label.
