Meet Dacorum Heritage's new team member

Lauren Wilson joined Dacorum Heritage as the Ovaltine Project Support Assistant in April. She is working on our project to increase public access and understanding of our collection of objects from the Ovaltine Factory in Kings Langley. She recently gave an online talk, sharing the collection’s exquisite advertising art-work and factory objects and documents that shine a light on the working lives of Ovaltine’s employees.

Right now, she is embarking on the task of finding former employees with memories of the factory. Would you like to help her to record those memories? Dacorum Heritage are looking for  Oral History Volunteers to capture the reminiscences of former factory workers before they are gone for good.

As Lauren says, “This is a fantastic volunteering opportunity and a chance to contribute to a community heritage project. The exciting thing is that volunteers that sign up can receive free Oral History Training and will come away from the project with heritage skills that they can use in the future.”

Lauren will be posting Ovaltine project updates on our social media pages and in our newsletter, so do watch out for those!
