Opportunity

Dacorum Heritage is seeking an experienced Communications and Marketing Consultant to create a practical Marketing and Communications Plan that supports day-to-day services, strengthens digital media activity and helps us communicate confidently about the future.

Fee

The project

We are looking for a consultant to create a Marketing and Communications Plan for Dacorum Heritage. The plan should be practical, proportionate and designed for use by a small, part-time museum team.

The work will help us:

  • review our current communications, audiences, channels and capacity;
  • set out clear priorities for day-to-day marketing and communications activity;
  • strengthen our approach to digital media, including website content, email newsletters and social media; and
  • develop messaging that supports Dacorum Heritage’s future plans, partnerships and public profile.

What Dacorum Heritage will provide

  • background information about our organisation, audiences, services and current communications activity;
  • access to relevant digital channels, statistics and existing marketing materials where available;
  • time with staff and trustees to understand priorities, capacity and future ambitions; and
  • support from our part-time museum team throughout the project.

We are looking for someone who brings

  • experience of marketing, communications or audience development, ideally in heritage, culture, charity or community settings;
  • confidence developing practical communications plans for small organisations with limited capacity;
  • strong understanding of digital media, including social media, website content, email communications and analytics;
  • the ability to turn organisational aims into clear messages for different audiences; and
  • flexibility, initiative and enthusiasm for local heritage and community engagement.
