Trustees wanted

Help shape the future of Dacorum’s heritage

Dacorum Heritage Trust is looking for two inspiring new Trustees to join our Board and help guide the next chapter of a charitable museum dedicated to collecting, preserving and sharing the stories of Dacorum’s people, places and communities. This is a rewarding opportunity to use your skills, judgement and enthusiasm to make a lasting difference. As a Trustee, you will work collaboratively with the Museum Manager and fellow Board members to provide strategic leadership, strengthen our sustainability and ensure the Trust continues to deliver public benefit for current and future generations. We are especially keen to hear from people who can bring fresh perspective, practical insight and a commitment to local heritage. You do not need to have been a Trustee before; what matters most is that you share our purpose and can contribute thoughtfully to good governance, sound decision-making and ambitious but realistic plans for the future. We are currently seeking Trustees with strengths in one of the following areas: 1)      Income generation and fundraising Could you help us build the relationships and resources that will sustain our work? In this role, you will support the Board to diversify income, identify funding opportunities and develop practical approaches to earned income, donations, grants, sponsorship and other appropriate sources of support. Your insight will help the Trust become more resilient, confident and ready to seize future opportunities.   2)      Staff and volunteer liaison Could you help ensure the people at the heart of Dacorum Heritage feel valued, listened to and well supported? In this role, you will act as an important link between the Board, staff and volunteers, helping to strengthen communication, support positive working relationships and contribute to a culture in which people can give their best. If you are motivated by community, heritage and making a meaningful contribution, we would be delighted to hear from you. This is a chance to join a committed team, help shape the Trust’s future direction and play a part in protecting Dacorum’s heritage for generations to come.
