Stephen is the Operations & Capital Projects Director for the Trust. He is responsible for all Trust operations including Building Services; Capital Projects; Facilities; Health and Safety and Security. He re-joined the Trust in May 2021, having had to resign as Chair due to temporary ill-health in 2020.

Before retiring in 2016, Stephen worked in Estates Management for large public facing organisations. He has held positions as: Head of Estates at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre; Director of Visitor and Estates at the British Museum from 2004 to 2012; and Head of Facilities at the Olympic Park, seconded to LOCOG for the 2012 Olympic Games. Stephen is also an active member of LAMAS where he serves as a member of Council and the Historic Buildings Committee.
